Our 2013 study of garden products gained national attention by detecting the presence of the hormone disrupting chemicals phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) contaminated the water coming out of a new garden hose after it stayed out in the sun for just a few days. Some of the garden hoses in this study were purchased at Lowe's. Test results for other products from Lowe's, such as, home improvement products and holiday decorations, are featured in our 2013 fall screening and 2013 End-of-the-Year 'Wrap Up'.
