Kurio touch 4S

The Kurio touch 4s scored high in our rating system with a 4.9/5.0. The Kurio touch 4 s had high levels of bromine, suggesting the use of brominated flame retardants. These high levels of bromine were detected in circuit board, the processor and solder.

  • For each tablet we tested a variety of integrated circuit components, the printed circuit board substrate, wire, solder and other components.
  • Several areas of the Circuit Board of the Kurio contained high levels of Bromine. The highest level of Bromine detected was 22, 455 ppm. This high level of bromine was detected in the circuit board substrate material itself. Image #3 below shows some of the other components which were tested.
