The Fuhu Nabi Jr. scored an overall rating of 3.9/5.0 scale. The Nabi Jr. had high levels of bromine (Br) in the circuit board.
Both the front and back Case of the Nabi Jr. had low levels of metals and halogens including bromine and chlorine chemistry flame retardanst.
For each tablet we tested a variety of integrated circuit components, the printed circuit board substrate, wire, solder and other components.
The Circuit Board of the Nabi Jr. had high levels of bromine. The highest level detected was 16,325 parts per million (ppm). This high level of bromine was detected in the circuit board substrate material itself. Image #3 below shows some of the other components which were tested.
