The Million Baby Crawl is Seventh Generation's campaign to put common sense limits on toxic chemicals.
Mounting scientific evidence points to widespread exposure to chemicals that can cause serious and adverse impacts on human health, particularly for children.
The federal law that should protect us from health-harming chemicals just doesn't work. Since 1976, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has required safety testing on only 200 of the more than 80,000 chemicals on the market. We need a stronger chemical law to keep our families safe and healthy. Here's what we want the bill to do:
- Take quick action on the most dangerous chemicals.
- Require full information on the health and environmental hazards associated with all chemicals.
- Protect all people and vulnerable groups including children and pregnant women - using the best science.
What you can do
To help turn this new bill into law, we have partnered with Seventh Generation and Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, a diverse nationwide coalition comprised of environmental groups, health professionals and others working to pass smart federal policies that protect us from toxic chemicals.
